My thoughts today are with my daughter-in-law Melissa, Ryan’s fiancée, her Dad is in the Lyell McEwin Hospital and he is not doing very well. To make things just that bit harder Ryan is currently working away so Melissa has been dealing with it on her own, hopefully Ryan will be home tomorrow.
I hear the ALP have elected Bill Shorten as their new leader. How much would you like to bet that Mr Shorten will not lead the ALP to the next federal election, a more uninspiring man I have not seen which is probably why Tanya Plibersek has been elected as the Deputy Leader. For my money she would have been a much better choice as leader.
Me thinks we have not seen the end of Labor’s woes, more infighting to come. Only a short-sighted and militant caucus would have wanted someone like Mr Shorten, the party faithful at large did not vote for him, that should be telling the ALP something. They got it wrong again.
